The Life of SOPHIA MARIE GUNHUS
Services for Mrs. Sophia Marie Gunhus, 67, of 7381 NW Beaver Dr, who died of cancer Friday at her home, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tueday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Gunhus, a native of Casey, was a supervisor with Hertzberg New Method, Inc., 2134 E Grand Ave., before her retirement in 1964. She lived in Des Moines 30 years before being transferred by her company to Jacksonville, Ill., in 1953. She returned to Des Moines in 1964.
Surviving are her husband, William C,; a son, James, a brother, Ray Nittler; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of Des Moines.
