The Life of VERA DARLENE GARRETT WAY
Services for Mrs. Vera Garrett Way, 58, of 110 SW Rose Ave., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs.Way died of cancer Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Mrs. Way was born in Altoona and lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. An employee of Meredith Corp., Mrs. Way was a member of the Wakonda Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Bartlett of Des Moines and Sherry Meek of Runnells; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Halford Garrett of Des Moines; three sisters, Dorothy Gilliam, Lela Camp and Lila Garrett, all of Des Moines, and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wakonda Christian Church.
