The Life of DANIEL VAUGHAN MIDDOUR

Daniel Middour, 69, of the 5400 block of Southeast Eighth Place died of cancer Jan. 21 at Hospice Kavanagh House.  The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elks Lodge No. 98, 5420 Northeast 12 St.  Burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Middour was born in Des Moines and had lived here most of his life.  He was a retired engineer with Rock Island Railroad and a member of the Masons, Elks Lodge No. 98, Des Moines Consistory and Order of the Eastern Star.  He enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie; three daughters, Linda Neff of Des Moines, Roseannna Carter of Rogers, Ark., and Marilyn Middour of Lander, Wyo.; a sister, Ruth Harvey of Greve Coeur, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the Elks Lodge following services.  Neptune Cremation Society of Iowa is handling arrangements.
