The Life of JOSEPH RICHARD LOCKERT
Joseph Richard Lockert, 8-month-old son of Sarah and Michael Lockert of the 8800 block of Highland Oaks Drive, Johnston, died of complications of Holoprosencephly Tuesday at Mercy Hospice - Johnston. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Joseph was born in Des Moines on June 22, 2002.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Olivia Lockert, and a borther, Nicholas, both of Johnston; his grandparents, Jacqueline and Richard Lockert of Jordan, MN and Anita and David Hendrickson of St. Joseph, MO; and his great-grandmother, Vera Mensing of Spearfish, SD.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the church, where a vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph Richard Lockert Memorial Fund. Hamilton''s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
