The Life of VERA FAYE JOHNSON
Vera Faye Johnson, 82, of 1212 E. Douglas Ave. died Friday of a heart ailment at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A homemaker, Mrs. Johnson was born in Grinnell and lived in Des Moines for 56 years. She was a member of Union Park Christian Church and the Sew What Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Bell and Marjorie Miller, both of Des Moines; two sons, Charles of Des Moines and Jimmy of Elmhurst, IL; a brother, Clare Jay of Creston; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 3 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
