The Life of PHILIP LEO REIMER
Philip Leo Reimer, 75, of the 3200 block of Tiffin Avenue died of complications of a stroke Friday at Riverview Care Center. The body was cremated, and graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Reimer was born in Lenox and had lived in Des Moines since 1951. He was a retired shipping foreman with Wilson Foods and also had worked for Iowa Meat Packing. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of Iowa Pack Retirees Club. He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage and watching football.
He is survived by his wife, June; four sons, Mark of Kentucky, John of Florida, Paul of Neward, Ohio, and Mathew of Des Moines; a sister, Murle Leonard of Corning; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa. Grandview Park Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
