The Life of MABEL JUNE HICKS
Services for Mabel June Hicks of 1419 33rd St. will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Hicks, 84, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Born in Williamsburg, she lived in Des Moines for 65 years and with her husband owned Quality Cleaners until retiring. She was a member of Shepherd Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Thorpe of Sunrise Beach, FL; two sisters, Frances McDonald and Florence Davis, both of Des Moines; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Des Moines Are Religious Council.
