The Life of RUBY M ATTIG STUBBS MONACO
Ruby M. Attig Monaco, 81, of Fountain West Health Center, 1501 Office Park Road, West Des Moines, died Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of complications following a stroke. Services will be at noon Monday at Southtown Funeral Home chapel, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Monaco was born in Danville, IL and moved to Des Moines as a child. She retired as a federal government telephone operator and was a member of Park Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Among survivors are a daughter, Marilyn DeLay of West Des Moines; a sister, Edna Brannen of Clive; eight grandchildren; and eight great-granchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the American Diabetes Association.
