The Life of DOROTHY MARY RHOADES

Mrs. Dorothy Rhoades, 59, of 220 E Thirteenth Ct. died at Mercy Hospital Thursday morning of uynknown causes after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Rhoades was born in South English, and lived in Wellman before moving to Des Moines 24 years ago. She was a clerk in the State Department of Public Safety for 12 years, and was a member of Gatchel Methodist Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Sandra Reynolds, Mrs. Gayle Harper, Mrs. Susan Morris, and Mrs. Margaret Garton, all of Des Moines; a son, William, Jr., of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Buchanan of South English, Mrs. Leona Mottet of Riverside, and Mrs. Francena Rothman of Ft. Scott, KS; two brothers, Clarence Cox and John Cox, both of South English; and 12 grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens.
