The Life of DOMINIC R FONTANA
Dominic R. Fontana, 84, of Enterprise died of a heart ailment Friday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady''s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Ankeny, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Mr. Fontana was born in Des Moines and had lived in the Enterprise area most of his life. He was a material handler with Deere & Co. before retiring in 1976. He also was a farmer and had owned and operated Dominic''s Place restaurant in Enterprise. He was a member of United Auto Workers and Vittoria Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; three sons, Pete of Ankeny, Dick of Cook, MN, and Dominic Jr. of Bondurant; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.>>
