The Life of RUSSELL G ANDERSON
Russell G. Anderson, 78, of 3330 E. 25th St., died of cancer Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson, a lifelong Des Moines resident, retired from Armstrong Trie and Rubber Co. as a foreman. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Evangelical Covenant Church.
Among survivors are his wife, Ione; two sons, Steven of Des Moines and Lyle of Cedarville, OH; two sisters, Evelyn Morlan and Mildred Peacock, both of Des Moines; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
