The Life of LYNN L MILES
Services for Army Sgt. Lynn L Miles, 20, of 2815 E. Grand Ave. who was killed in action in Vietnam January 29, will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Simpson Methodist Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Sargeant Miles left for service in Vietnam after spending a furlough at home last November. A life-long Des Moines resident, he attended East High School and received his high school diploma while in service.
Surviving are his stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey B. Trotter of Des Moines, his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. L. Leroy Miles of Oxnard, CA; two brothers, Lanniray Jordan of Minneapolis and Larry Blake of Des Moines, and his maternal grandfather, John Nixon of Des Moines.
The family suggest memorials in the form of contributions to Simpson Methodist Church of which Sergeant Miles was a member.
