The Life of MINNIE NIXON
Services for Mrs. John Nixon, 62, of 2815 E. Grand Ave. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Simpson Mehtodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Nixon died of leukemia Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hosipital after a six year illness. Born at Colo, she lived 42 years in Des Moines.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Margaretha Blake of Monroe; a son, John, Jr. of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Shutt of Prairie City and Mrs. Alice Tavenner and Mrs. Betty Franey of Des Moines; a brother, Frank Trites of Atlanta, MO; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
