The Life of RICHARD E BOLANDER

Services for Richard E. Bolander, 50, of Altoona, who died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Altoona Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.

Born in Centerville, Mr. Bolander lived in Des Moines for many years before moving to Altoona in 1974.  A part-owner of Hawkeye Auto Supply, he was a member of Waveland Masonic Lodge.  He also was past president of University Little League and the Tech High Booster Club.

Survivors include his wife, Carla; three daughters, Laura House of Des Moines, Amy Bethel of Ankeny and Beth Bolander, at home; two sons, Timothy of Des Moines, and Eric of West Des Moines; his mother, Lelah Bolander of Coal Creek Canyon, CO; a sister, Majel Tallman of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
