The Life of JOHN DAVID DELL
John D. "Dave" Dell, 61, of 2914 W. First St., Ankeny, died of cancer Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Westover Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services.
Mr. Dell was born in Quincy, IL, and moved to Ankeny in 1980 from South Dakota. He was a district sales representative for Harmon Auto Glass and a retired 20-year veteran of the Air Force. He was a member of Rotary International and Honorable Order of Blue Goose International.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline; two daughters, Debra Bachman and Kay Lynn Dell, both of Ankeny; a son, David Leonard Dell of Tavernier, FL; two brothers, Steve Simpson of Tucson, AZ; and Michael Simpson of Watford City, ND; four sisters, Brenda Shutters of Ringgold, GA; Michaelle Kuehne of Occuquan, VA, Diane Phillips of Spring Lake, NC, and Linda Pennington of Linchfield, MI; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Children''s Habilitation Center in Johnston.
