The Life of MARJORIE MARIE JOHNSON
Marjorie Marie Johnson, 76, passed away peacefully Monday, September 4, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 8, at Hamilton''s Fuenral Home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Marjorie was born March 14, 1930 in Des Moines, the daugher of Otto and Mary (Robinson) Hess. She worked at Look Magazine, and retired from the Principl Financial Group in 1996. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to Prairie Meadows, shopping, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard "Dick" Johnson; daughters, Linda DeFrancisco and Debi Johnson, all of Des Moines and Mary Ann Alexander of Waukee; brothers, John Hess of Des Moiens and Bob Hess of Alden, MO; grandchildren, Richard DeFrancisco and Shannon and Sara Johnson, all of Des Moines, and Michael A. Long of Waukee; great-grandchildren, Coby and Jayden Johnson of Des Moines; her beloved dog, "Spikey," her granddogs and her many kitties.
