The Life of NORMA HELEN RICE
Services for Norma Rice, 81, of 9647 NW 70th Ave., Johnston, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Rice died of cancer Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.
She was born in Moline, IL, and lived in Des Moines, Grimes and Johnston the past 62 years. She retired from the Country Kitchen Restaurant in West Des Moines and was the former owner of the Varsity Café.
Surviving are her husband, Rogers; two daughters, Vera Marsh and Norma Louise Marlin, both of Johnston; a son Ray, and a sister, Minnie Daniel, both of Des Moines; a brother, Bill Lovell of Princeton, MO; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
