The Life of ROGERS MYRON RICE
Rogers Myron Rice, 78, of 9647 NW 70th Ave., Johnston, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Rice was born in Arlington and had lived in the Des Moines area many years. He was retired from Armstrong Tire & Rubber Co. and was a member of the United Rubber Workers Local.
Survivors include his companion, Vera Marsh; two sons, Ray Rice and Wyatt Marsh, and a daughter, Louise Jordan, all of Des Moines; two sisters, Almakee Rogers of Missouri and LaVonne O''Banion of Mason City; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
