The Life of ALVA JAMES COX
Alva James Cox, 65, of 2303 Dean Ave. died Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of cancer. He had been ill one month.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grandview Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Cox, a lifelong resident of Des Moines retired from the Railway Express Agency in August, 1971. He was a member of Grant Park Christian Church and Masonic Eastgate Lodge 630.
Survivors are his wife, Leona; three sons, James and Bill, both of Des Moines, and Loren of Montezuma; a sister, Mrs. Clarence Roth of Des Moines, and eight grandchildren.
