The Life of SIMON L HEGGEN
Simon L. Heggen, 84, of Sheldahl died of arteriosclerosis, Sunday at the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown after a five-year illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Heggen, a native of Marshalltown, lived in Des Moines 14 years before moving to Sheldahl. He was a retired laborer.
Surviving are two sons, Richard of Sheldahl and Paul of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria McElhony of Merrimac, MA. and Mrs. Phyllis Pearson of Vantage, WA; two brothers, John of Marshalltown and Andy of Des Moines; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
