The Life of ARTHUR EUGENE LADWIG
Arthur Eugene Ladwig, 86, of Valley View Village died of an aneurysm Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Ladwig ws born in Lawndale, MN, and moved to Des Moines 35 years ago. He was a retired farmer and sales manager with Farmcraft Feed and Fertilizer Co, in Des Moines. He had also worked for Farm Bureau Insurance. He was a member of Auburn Massonic Lodge, past secretary of Clay County Fair Board in Minnesota and a deacon and elder at his church.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian; two daughters, Patricia Sandstrom of Burlington, WI, and Phyllis Freeman of Richville, MN; a son, Allan of Colorado Springs, CO; two stepdaugthers, Cheryl Day of Brixey, MO; and Jill Brown of Orlando, FL; a stepson, Mark Nordin of Grandview, MO; a sister, Rosalie Downing of Longview, TX; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
