The Life of WOODROW J HUFFMAN
Woodrow "Red" Huffman, 75, of 4575 NE 23rd Ave. died of a heart ailment Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Adelphi Calvary Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Huffman, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was a retired supervisor with Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Baldwin-Patterson American Legion.
Among survivors are his wife, Freda; two daughters, Nancy Huffman of Pleasantville and Jeanette Thompson of Sacramento, Calif,; a son, Steve of Inkom, Idaho; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
