The Life of GARDNER COLE WEBB

Services for Gardner C. Webb, 80, of 3926 Eighth Place will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Arnold's Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Webb died of emphysema Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after an illness of 15 years.

Born in the Saylorville area, Mr. Webb lived in Des Moines for 43 years.  He was a retired roofer and a member of the Beaverdale Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He was a World War I veteran.

Survivors include his wife, LaVerne; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Martin and Mrs. Mary McCauley, both of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Marian Stevenson of St. Joseph, MO, and eight grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association.
