The Life of MILDRED M STOKES
Mildred M. Stokes, 86, of 1410 E. 12th St. died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Stokes was born in Seymour and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a retired file clerk with State Auto and Casualty Co.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; a daughter, Marjorie Scott of Des Moines; a son, Jack of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
