The Life of FLORENCE I WHEELER MATEER
A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery for Florence Wheeler Mateer, 82 of 1214 Clinton Ave., who died of a stroke Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
A Colfax native, Mrs. Mateer lived in Des Moines for years. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Bell of Russell; a son, Norman of Des Moines; two sisters, Irma Coulter of Newton and Mary Hartnett of Colfax; and several grnadchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shrine Burn Center.
