The Life of MILDRED RUTH HELM
Mildred Ruth Helm, 87, of Norwalk died of cancer Saturday at Norwalk Manor Nursing Home, where she had lived since December. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Helm was born in Hayti, MO, and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a retired beauty operator and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Eugene Shiffer of Hurst, TX; a sister, Velma Eklund of Denver, CO; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blood Center of Central Iowa.>>
