The Life of LESTER CLYDE CAMPBELL

Lester Clyde Campbell, 89, of Creston died of pneumonia Friday at Cresthaven Nursing Home.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Des Moines, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery there.

Mr. Campbell was born in Monmouth, IL.  He had been self-employed and was a member of Creston Christian Church, a past master of Thayer Masonic Lodge and a past grand member of the Independent Order of odd Fellows.

Surviving are his wife, Roma; two daughters, Ruby Fischler of Oceanside, CA, and Wilma Hoffman of Des Moines; a son, Herbert Phipps of LaHabra, CA; a brother, Lennie of Jamestown, ND; a sister, Lena McLaughlin; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
