The Life of CLARENCE H DAVIS

Services for C.H. "Dixie" Davis, 78, of 3520 Thirty-Seventh St., who died of a heart attack Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dunn's Funeral Home on Grand Avenue. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Davis was born in Perry. He lived in Des Moines 50 years and was a retired insurance agent. He was a member of Capital Masonic Lodge and St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alice Gillette of Bayfield, Colo., and Mrs. Virginia Olson of Des Moines; two sons, Clarence E. of Des Moines and John H. of El Toro, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
