The Life of DAN LEE WITTER

Services for Dan Lee Witter, 36, of 408 SE Thornton Ave., who was dead on arrival at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital late Tuesday, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dunn''s Funeral Home on SW Ninth Street. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Witter was shot at the home of his brother-in-law, Charles Winship, at 2913 Stanton Ave. Witter, a lifelong resident of Des Moines, was a salesman at Capitol Motors, Inc. He was graduated from Lincoln High School and was a member of the Highland Park Post of the American Legion. He formerly served in the Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Marian L; a daughter, Linda; and a son, Keith, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Lorna Witter of Des Moines, a sister . . . {cemetery''''s copy of the obituary was cut off at this point}
