The Life of NELS GUSTAF GRANQUIST
Services for Nels G. Granquist, 79, of 2204 Lyon st., who died of a heart attack Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Friends Church, East Thirteenth and Lyon Streets. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Granquist, born in Oswalt, was a retired coal miner and a former member of the Iowa Board of Mine Examiners. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, United Mine Workers 1504, and First Friends Church.
Surviving are his wife, Alta; two sons, Leonard of Tulsa, OK, and Norman of Ames; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Christina Marshall of Des Moines; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
The body is at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home.
