The Life of GEORGE FREDERICK PARKER
George Fredrick Parker, 79, of Shell Knob, Mo. died of heart failure Thursday at Carroll General Hospital in Berryville, Ark. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was born in Carlisle and had lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Missouri in 1980. He retired as a Des Moines bus driver. He was a Navy Veteran, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masons.
Survivors include his wife, Orpha; a son, Dennis of Shell Knob; two sisters, Olive Foster and Ruth Roth, both of Des Moines; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
