The Life of DAVID DEAN CROOKS

David Dean Crooks, Sr.. 67, passed away from complication from cancer at Mercy Medical Center October 21, 2007.

David was born in Des Moines October 11, 1940.  He was a Trucker/Mechanic and retired from Ryko Industries.  He was an Army veteran.

David is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, David Crooks, Jr. of Perry, Jeffrey Meyer of Des Moines; daughters, Stacie Etcheverry of Perry, CharLe Meyer of Des Moines; brother, Gerald Cooks of Des Moines; sister, Joan Sbicca of San Marino, CA; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

David never met a stranger, he had a great love for people especially his family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, October 25, at Grace Church, 4200 E. 25th St.

visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Brooks Funeral Care - University Chapel.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
