The Life of ELMA LAURA ALLEN
Elma L. Allen, 96, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at University Park and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be 12 PM Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors and guests from 11AM-12 PM at the Funeral Home, N.W. 60th. Elma enjoyed being a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born in Appanoose County, Iowa, and she lived out most of her live in Des Moines, IA. Elma is survived by her sister, Mildred (Gordon) Cook, daughter, Claudia O’Connor, grandson, Anthony Allen and one great granddaughter, Taylor Bitting. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Allen, granddaughter, Kelsey Bitting, and 9 brothers and sisters.
