The Life of GARRY G HALEY

Services for Garry "Peanut" Haley, 23, of 4525 NE Twenty-sixth St. will be at noon Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Haley died Sunday of numerous shotgun pellet wounds in the emergency room at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, according to Polk County Medical Examiner R.C. Wooters.  The shooting occurred in a parking lot next to Trax Oil Co., 2606 E. Broadway Ave.

A native of Mount Ayr, Mr. Haley lived most of his life in Des Moines and attended Saydel High School.  He was a truck driver and member of Teamsters Union Locals 147 and 90.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa M.; a son, Garry Glenn Jr., at home; a daughter, Jeannie, at home; his mother, Mrs. Raymond Haley of Des Moines; three brothers, Larry, Gene and Mark, all of Des Moines; and two sisters, Mrs. Rosezetta Shepherd adn Linda Haley, both of Des Moines.
