The Life of JUNE M PUCKETT BACON

June Puckett-Bacon, 80, of the 5100 block of Twana Drive died of cancer Friday at home.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Puckett-Bacon was born in Memphis, Tenn., and had lived in Des Moines most of her life.  She had been a homemaker and former co-owner of Puckett Sandblasting and Painting.  She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.  She was employed at ordnance plants in Ankeny and Hanford, Wash.

Surviving are her husband, Giles; two daughters, Linda Burnett and Constance Allen, both of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Diane Leullen of Bouton; two sisters, Mary Gunn of Jonesboro, Ark., and Gertrude Eads of Norfolk, Va.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Puckett.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice or her church.
