The Life of LELA MAE CULP BUTLER
Lela Culp Butler, 97, passed away January 15, 2011 at Fountain West. She was born September 13, 1913 in Osceola, Iowa.
In 1934 she married Oliver Culp and to this union three children were born, Dwayne (Donna) Culp, Joan (John) Conyers and Karen (Edwin) Hofen.
She married Arthur Butler in 1963. Both husbands preceded her in death as well as her son, Dwayne; grandsons, Andrew Culp and Phillip Hofen; sisters, Bernice Stubbs and Louise Busick; great granddaughter, Miranda Hofen. She is survived by her daughters; her brother, Charles Carson; as well as numerous grandchildren. She retired from Delavan Manufacturing in 1973.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21 at St. Mark Lutheran Church (12th and Grand, West Des Moines). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Memorials may be given to her church.
