The Life of CARLA ILENE CHILDERS
Carla, 64, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. Carla was born on August 5, 1945 to Tennis and Lucille (Heuton) Childers in Des Moines, Iowa.
Carla enjoyed being with her family and collecting teddy bears.
Carla is survived by her son, Phillip (Betty) Childers; and a sister Ruby (Roger) Harryman. Carla was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Shepherd.
Memorial Services will be 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Burial of cremated remains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service.
