The Life of LEWIS F MACK

Lew F. Mack, 76, of Adel died of a heart ailment Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Adel where he was a member.  The body will be cremated and private burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Mack was born in Pomeroy and had lived in Des Moines and Farnhamville before moving to Adel 29 years ago.  He was a retired bookkeeper at G&R Bookkeeping, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion.

Survivors include a son, Craig of Des Moines; a daughter, Kris Smith of Huxley; four sisters, Mildred Larson, Marcella Wallace and Louise Running, all of Des Moines, and Phyllis Maitre of Seattle; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel, where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or his church.
