The Life of VERNIE O BACON
Services for Vernie O. Bacon, 72, of 3940 Fifth Ave., who died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Bacon was born in Maxwell and was a retired maintenance worker at Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Shirley Lea Davenport and Arlene C. Grabill of Des Moines; two sisters, Imogene Douglas of Montezuma and Irene King of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.
