The Life of LENA G TAYLOR
Lena G. Taylor, 83, of the 400 block of Southeast Delaware Avenue, Ankeny, died of cancer Wednesday at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Allen Township and had lived in the Des Moines area all her life. She was a retired manager with Dahl''s Foods and a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles "Bob"; two sons, Phil of Davenport and Chuck of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Karleen Taylor-Pratt and Brenda Taylor, and two sisters, Irene Hennies and Evelyn Carlson, all of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
