The Life of RICHARD LEE DAVIS
Richard (Dick) Lee Davis, 77, of Des Moines, died Tuesday, December 2, 2003. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6, at Hamilton''s Funeral Home 605 Lyon St. with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Richard was born October 25, 1926 in Des Moines. He attended Lincoln High School. During his career he opened sereral motion picture theaters, produced three films and developed several shoping centers in Iowa
Richard is survived by his wife, Darlene; sons, Richard, Jr. and wife Laraine, Rodney and wife Linda and Daryl and wife Sue, all of Des Moiens; stepdaughter, Ladell Lybarger and husband David of Des Moines; nine grandchildren, Diane Allen and Husband Jeff, Rave, Christa Beeler and husband Rob, Jeffrey and wife Maria, Matt, Jason, Mark Hartzer and wife Debbie, Melanie Hartzer and Cory Mitchell; eight great-grandchildren; three half brothers, George, David and Tommy; and two half sisters, Colleen Graham and Christine Davis.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 5, at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested all memorial contributions be made directly to Variety Club of Iowa.
