The Life of DOUGLAS JOSEPH SCOTT
Services for Douglas J. Scott, 35, of Davis, CA, formerly of Des Moines, will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Scott was dead on arrival at Woodland Memorial Hospital, Woodland, CA, Sunday after suffering a heart attack while riding a bicycle.
A native of Des Moines, he was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, did graduate work at the University of Minnesota and received a Master''s degree in Special Education from San Francisco State College.
He was director of a special school for retarded children in Woodland and had lived in California for about five years.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd F. Scott of Des Moines; a brother, Irvin of Bloomington, MN; a sister, Mrs. Marlene F. VanTuinen of Cincinnati, OH; and a daughter, Anne and a son, Jonathan, both of Agawam, Mass.
The family suggests memorial contributions for retarded children in the Yolo County Schools, Woodland, CA.
