The Life of DALE K BENJAMIN
Dale, K. Benjamin, 80, of 3605 Elm Drive, Urbandale, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Benjamin, born in Newton, had lived in Des Moines most of his lfie and retired in 1976 as a loan officer for Veterans Administration. He was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War and belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by two daughters, Janice Russell of St. Louis and Jane Lyddon of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
