The Life of MARY E BATTANI

Mary E. Battani, 75, of the 1200 block of Northwest 70th Avenue, Ankeny, died of a heart ailment Wednesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Battani was born in Ames and had lived in Ankeny 42 years. She was a retired secretary with Ace Mayflower Moving Co. and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Woodland Hills Golf Course. She is survived by two sons, Roger of Des Moines and Richard of Runnells; a daughter, Lynnette Fyfe of Waukee; a sister, JoAnn Russell of Madrid; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Boline-Fanfredi Veterans of Foreign Wars.
