The Life of MERLE E DIEMER
Merle E. Diemer, 75, of 1819 S.W. First St. died of a heart attack Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Diemer, a lifelong Des Moines resident, was retired from the Des Moines Water Works and was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; two sons, Charles of Indianola and James of Des Moines; a sister, Florine Koole of Minneapolis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call one hour before services Tuesday at the church, where the family will be present. Arrangements are being handled by Merle Hay Funeral Home.
