The Life of BONNIE JEAN BUCKROYD

Bonnie Jean Buckroyd, 70, of 2621 Cornell St. died of a heart ailment Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Buckroyd was born in Winterset and lived in Des Moines most of her life.  She had been concessions manager at Veterans Memorial Auditorium and also worked with Des Moines Metro KidsCare.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Seghi of Phoenix, AZ; two stepsons, Robert Buckroyd Jr. of Des Moines and Thomas Buckroyd Sr. of Ankeny; two sons, Jack Simpson and James Buckroyd, a stepdaughter, Judith Cox and a brother Rex Armstrong, all of Des Moines; three sisters, Kathryn Krantz of Johnston and Mary Weeks and Loal Stewart both of Des Moines; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.  Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
