The Life of WILLIAM FLOYD KESSELL

William Floyd Kessell, 69, of 3932 Dosh Road, died of a heart attack at his home Thursday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Kessell, the retired operator of Kessell Transfer and Storage Co. and former owner of Kessell Speedway, was born in Mount Vernon, Ill., and had lived in Des Moines 59 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Carrie; two daughters, Mrs. Nona Livingston and Mrs. Beverly Shelton, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Stolle of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Beulah McMertrey of Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Mildred Massey of Newport, Ark.; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Calvary Baptist Church building fund.
