The Life of HOMER RONALD ADCOCK

Homer R. Adcock, 81, of 4340 Ashby Ave. died Wednesday at Fountain West Health Care Center of complications following a stroke. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Adcock was born at Chariton and lived in Des Moines 63 years. He was chairman of the old Iowa Liquor Commisiion fo eight years and served two terms as president of the National Alcoholic Beverage control Commission during the 1960's. Most recently he was president of Capitol City Realty Inc. In addition to several professional organizations, he was a member of the Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, the Catholic Church and Elks Club. Among survivors are two sons, Ronald and David, and a daughter Nancy Engstrom all of Des Moines ; 11 granchildren; and five great-granchildren
