Calvary Bible Church

Mr. Veltman came to our church to speak for some special meetings as I recall when I was a young boy of 8.  I believe it was the last night of the meetings and God had been working in my heart as I listened to the fiery preaching of the Word.

When we sang "Just as I Am", Mr. Veltman encouraged any that hadn't come forward, but knew they should have, to not put off making things right with God.

That night I couldn't go to sleep.  All that was on my mine was, "I can't go another day without giving my life to God and receiving forgiveness". I approached my mom before bed that night and we had prayer next to the bed and I received Christ.

I thank the Lord for Mr Veltman. I can still see that white hair, him holding his Bible up in his hand and preaching the Word of God with deep heartfelt passion for God.
