The Life of WESTLEY R MCCLAIN

Westley R. McClain, 100, died November 22, 2006 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in Des Moines.  He was born September 15, 1906 to Charles & Grace McClain in Des Moines, Iowa.

He worked in the factory for Ford Motor Company and for Bell Telephone.  He was a member of the Iowa Army National Guard.

He was united in marriage to Dorothy Campbell on October 17, 1928 and to this union five children were born.

Westley is survived by his sons, Charles W. McClain, Dale E. McClain and John E. McClain, his daughter, Ruby A. Harrington, 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren, and his sister, Muriel Skrove.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, his parents, a brother and an infant daughter.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens with burial to follow at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
